Before & After

Wandering,
Waiting,
Winding
Through each of my days.
Fumbling,
Floundering,
Finding
My path in life's maze.

Anticipating,
Admiring,
Achieving,
I now myself find.
Loving,
Laughing,
Leaving
All my yesterdays behind.

Smiley, my Little One brought these home today & I immediately thought of you. Seems to me you may have already posted one of these, but they're both worth a re-read.

REFLECTIONS

To make this world a whole lot brighter,
When I grow up, I'll be a writer.
Write about things that I know -
How to bunt, how to throw.
A Christmas wish, a butter dish ...
A teddy bear, an empty chair,
The love I have inside to share ...
Yes ... to make a whole lot brighter,
When I grow up, I'll be a writer.
--Lee Bennett Hopkins

JUST CURIOUS

When you turn a corner
And you run into yourself,
Then you know you must have turned
All the corners that are left.
-- Langsten Hughes

I pushed my soul
Into a deep dark hole,
And I followed it in.

I met myself crawlin out-
As I was crawlin in.
