Bear In There

There's a Polar Bear
In our Frigidaire--
He likes it 'cause it's cold in there.
With his seat in the meat
And his face in the fish
And his big hairy paws
In the buttery dish,
He's nibbling the noodles,
He's munching the rice,
He's slurping the soda,
He's licking the ice.
And he lets out a roar
If you open the door.
And it gives me a scare
To know he's in there--
That Polary Bear
In our Fridgitydaire.

Thought I'd throw in a little humor today. :)

Shel Silverstein wrote most of the songs for one of my favorite music groups of all-time, Dr. Hook. He was a poet, screenwriter, musician, writer, songwriter, composer and cartoonist. He is best known for his childrens' poems, the tons of adult songs that he wrote as well as being a writer for PlayBoy magazine.

If you get the chance, you should read more of his work. Most of it is very light-hearted humor that always brings a smile to my face. He's definitely one of the greats, in my book. :)

Hey, SB!! Are you possibly talking about "The Great Smokeoff" and "Billy Markham's Last Roll"? Hope you're having a good weekend. :)

(P.S. I can't believe I left that 5:08 message of mine up there with all those typos in it. That's gonna' bug the crap out of me now that I've noticed them. LOL)
